Ann Marie Horgan had never been a runner but all that changed on the 7th of November 2011 when she joined the Born to Run Marathon Club in Tralee. She is a self confessed non runner and has all her life battled with her weight.

She always dreamed about doing a marathon and has set her sights on the Great Limerick Run on the May Bank Holiday Weekend 2012 under the watchfull eye of her coach Marcus Howlett. She is currently blogging her experiences - the good and the bad on the lead up to the event. You can follow her progress over the next 16 weeks as she trains for her first marathon.
